Story of this Autograph from the Consigner - In 1970 my grandfather was taking a flight out of JFK to LAX and was lucky enough to be seated next to Mr. Robinson. Over the coast to coast flight they struck up a great rapport over their love of baseball. My grandfather actually had tryouts for the Yankees when he was in his early 20's. Before they landed, my grandfather asked him to sign an autograph for my father who was turning 8 that year. The autograph was to be a gift for him. After moving some items from my childhood home to my last Duty Station with the Air Force I noticed the autograph tucked away in a box and my mom told me this incredible story. I immediately had it encased with PSA to preserve it as best as I could.
